Can You Help Me Get My Mail?

Yet another busy day, I left my mail in my tiny drawer and almost forgotten about it. Luckily I have Kacy, my Black Capped Conure to help me get my mail from my drawer.

Kacy is of a great help to me, and I am really happy that I have such great Personal Assistant!

Kacy’s World Cup 2010 Final Prediction

The Netherlands and Spain will be playing in the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final on this Sunday. Everyone (including myself) is anxious to know who will eventually lift the World Cup Trophy at Soccer City this Sunday.

Is it the Oranje or La Roja?

I decided to let Kacy, my Black Capped Conure to predict who will be the champion for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.

So who did Kacy pick?

Kacy The Farming Parrot

Kacy, the Black Capped Conure is working out in the strawberry field as a farmer for a day. She spent the whole morning busily harvesting all the sweet strawberries.

I guess Kacy is probably the first ever farming parrot!

It is obvious that everything is fictitious. It is just another parrot trick of Kacy, a simple retrieval trick that I repackaged with a farm theme. This is the parrot trick that everyone has been waiting for!

Kacy and I hope the presentation of this parrot trick will bring lots of fun and laughter to everyone.

Kacy the Conure Enjoys the Sun

It had been raining for days. The skies of early mornings were always covered with dark clouds. Kacy, the Black Capped Conure and I could hardly remember when was the last time we get to see bright sunshine in the morning?

On the Friday morning, bright sunshine greeted us through the windows. The gloomy mornings were finally over. We were really enchanted.

Kacy was exceptionally in high spirit! She dashed to the spot where the sun were actively shining at. And there she was enjoying the sun, having a full morning of indoor sunbathing.

Kacy completely enjoyed every minute every second under the sun!

Taming an Aggressive Lovebird

On my previous post, I mentioned about helping my friends, William and Amelyn to parrot-sit their parrots, the 3Ts for 10 days. The 3Ts (namely Tweety, Tyson and Teri) are gorgeous, fun-loving little parrots, but there was one big issue.

Tweety (the Lutino Lovebird) and Tyson (the Blue Pacific Parrotlet) are such tame sweethearts. Unfortunately, Teri (the Peach Faced Lovebird) wasn’t as cooperative like the other two. He’s aggressive and very territorial! He would lunged at anyone who tried to pick him up.

Teri gave me a hard bite when I wanted to offer my fingers for him to step-up. The bite was really bad and drew blood instantly. *Ouch*

A nasty bite from Teri, the Peach Faced Lovebird

So never ever underestimate the bite power of lovebirds!

In fact, I wasn’t the only victim. Everyone in the family had gotten a nasty bite from Teri. That’s really one big problem if no one in the family can handle him.

While Tyson and Tweety got to enjoy their out-of-cage sessions, Teri was the only one left in his own cage. I felt sorry for him. Seriously, I do not hope to see him ended up cage-bound after his 10-days stay at our place.

I strongly felt that I ought to do something to improve the situation.
