Kermit left us

Kermit indeed had left us. It took me quite awhile to break out this news to all my friends and writing this post. Majority of my friends were extremely shocked and surprised by Kermit’s death, I do agree it’s so sudden and hard to accept.

Kermit was found motionless on 24th January 2009 in the morning, that was only a day before Chinese New Year Eve. How saddening to see this happening during this celebrative season, I probably had to conceal my gloomy and grief-stricken looks away and not affect the mood of the people around during the joyous New Year season. To be honest, it was tough mission to maintain my smile when meeting friends and relative, whereas deep within me I was weeping.

Although Kermit is no longer around, but he left us beautiful sweet memories. Love you always.

Kermit’s Parrot Trick Training – Strawberry Harvest

For the past few months, I had received dozens of emails expressing their concerns for Kiki and also Kermit. I hereby express my appreciation to all your support for Kiki, Kermit and Bryan’s Angels, the dedicated blog for my companion parrots.

Many readers had been looking forward to see Kermit in action with his new trick. For the past few weeks, I had been working with Kermit refreshing on some of tricks he had learned previously to prepare him well for the training for the new trick.

Kermit’s Parrot Tricks: Waving Hello

The third portion of the refresher course that I had worked with Kermit, involving him to perform the basic trick: “Waving Hello” with his right foot upon vocal cues.

Kermit was able to wave with his right foot upon my vocal cues, his performance for the day was excellent. Like the earlier session, Kermit surprised me with his vocal talents. He said out his name again at the 0:11 seconds.

Kermit’s Parrot Tricks: Handshaking

Kermit’s Parrot Tricks: Turn-a-Round

After months of busy hectic project schedules and overcoming the difficult period of the lost of Kiki, Kermit and I are certain we have to take the step to our future and working on our brand new phase in life.

After a long break, I decided to work with Kermit on the basic tricks that he had learned. Apparently he has never forgotten any of them and his performance has been top notch. Below was the video of Kermit performing the “Turn-a-Round” upon vocal cue.

Surprisingly, Kermit said aloud his name at the 0:34 seconds!
